Skipping forward to dive 5 of Oren’s Kona trip, we made an early morning visit to Ho’okena. Snorkeled often, Ho’okena is not a common site for “normal” scuba diving, as it’s a long kick out to 30-40′ depth. Not a problem for the scooters, couple minutes in gear 3 and we were in fish city. Psychadelic wrasse, piles of pyramid butterflyfish, and even a bandit angel. Spotted a pair of Leaf Scorpionfish too. Nice dive!<\/p>\n
