The Black Abyss

REVISITED: 23 SEPT 2011

Great dive upstream of Emerald and Cheryl Sinks to The Black Abyss with Keith. Drought has allowed this section of the Wakulla-Leon System to become very clear. The Black Abyss is a massive room, more than 100′ across and tall, which is why it looks like I’m diving on a wall. Heading upstream in this system from Emerald, it’s an easy nitrox swim dive to get to this room. Then the going passage goes 200’+ deep.
